The Innosuisse – Swiss Innovation Agency represents an official Federal Agency of the Swiss Confederation and is responsible for encouraging innovation through the provision of findings, consulting and networks. Innosuisse sends innovative start-ups hoping to enter international markets to test the waters in the global hubs of entrepreneurship, including in Brazil.
The Academia Industry Program (AIT) Brazilian and Swiss researchers transforming their researches into market innovations. The AIT is an initiative that fosters cooperation in research, innovation and internationalization between Switzerland and Brazil. The first edition of the AIT was held in 2014 and it has happened every year since, supporting over 100 entrepreneurs over six editions.
Swissnex in Brazil embarked on a transformative journey into the Amazon, driven by a shared vision of sustainability and biodiversity. After extensive collaboration with local experts, this vision gave birth to nexBio Amazônia. The program brought together Brazilian and Swiss startups, researchers, and Amazon communities, culminating in a dynamic two-week pilot in July 2024.

On 3 June 2021 Swissnex in Brazil and the Science and Technology Office of the Swiss Embassy in Seoul, organized an Independent Dialogue within the United Nations Food Systems Summit to discuss sustainable food systems and share experiences on how to tackle some of its challenges.
