Mission

Swissnex is the Swiss global network connecting the dots in education, research, and innovation. Our mission is to support the outreach and active engagement of our partners in the international exchange of knowledge, ideas and talent. The six main Swissnex representations are established in some of the world’s most innovative regions. Together with around twenty Science and Technology Offices (STO) and Counselors (STC) based in Swiss Embassies, they contribute to strengthen Switzerland’s profile as a world-leading innovation hotspot.

  • Boston and New York

    Swissnex in Boston and New York, established in 2000, is located at our original Cambridge location in Greater Boston and at NeueHouse Madison Square in New York City.

    Founded in 2008, Swissnex in China is located in Shanghai, working closely with the Embassy of Switzerland in China and Consulates-General in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Our offices are located in Rio de Janeiro, offering a stunning view where we welcome the local ecosystem, and in São Paulo on Avenida Paulista, the heart of industry and innovation. Both spaces feature shared work areas for collaboration with Swiss academics, scientists, startups, designers, and innovation-driven companies, as well as a public event space.
