Swiss Universities’ Alumni end-of-year Raclette Event

The Swiss Alumni community in Japan came together on 10 December 2023 to share raclette and enjoy the Xmas illuminations of Tokyo.

The Science and Technology Office Tokyo (STO) organized the event as part of its mission to connect Swiss and Japanese universities, research institutes, start-ups, accelerators, open-innovation players, and governmental institutions. The gathering brought together close to 50 alumni of 15 different Swiss universities, including École hôtelière de Lausanne, EPFL, ETH Zurich, Geneva Graduate Institute, International Institute for Management Development, Kantonsschule Zürcher Unterland in Bülach, Swiss Business School, Les Roches School, University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, University of Basel, University of Geneva, University of Lausanne, University of St. Gallen, University of Zurich, and Zurich University of Applied Sciences.

The Swiss Alumni end-of-year Raclette event proved to be a highly popular occasion, with a significant number of applications exceeding the venue capacity. The atmosphere was festive and filled with camaraderie as Alumni shared their memories and experiences of studying in Switzerland while enjoying delicious drinks and Swiss raclette. This gathering was an excellent opportunity for networking and nurturing old and new connections between the Swiss Alumni community in Japan. Further socializing occurred as the attendees took a digestive stroll in Tokyo Midtown and Roppongi to soak in the Xmas illuminations.

It was a wonderful day to celebrate Swiss excellence and the special bond connecting the Swiss community living in Japan. We look forward to the next Alumni event.
