Applied Research Partnership Grants
The Leading House Asia has launched the 2023 Call for Applied Research Partnership Grants, a one-time only, special call focusing on applied research.
The Applied Research Partnership Grants support applied research projects with collaborating institutions in China, Hong Kong, Japan, Macau, South Korea, Taiwan and ASEAN member states. The collaboration can be based on a new partnership or an existing partnership.
Scientists (professors, senior scientists, postdoctoral researchers) based in Switzerland that are affiliated to a federal or cantonal university, a university of applied sciences, a university of teacher education or a research institute are eligible and welcome to apply.

Research Partnership Grants
The Research Partnership Grants support research projects with partner institutions which have to be based on an existing partnership.
A goal of this instrument is to allow researchers to conduct feasibility studies or pilot projects in order to apply for grants from larger funding agencies. A Research Partnership Grant builds on existing collaborations projects between researchers and scientists affiliated to a Swiss institution and researchers from the partner country.
Research Partnership Grants can fund the preparation of a joint project proposal for submission to large funding agencies or research projects to develop a long-term partnerships between two institutions or chairs. Activities to intensify joint teaching or curriculum development are also covered by the grant.

Young Researchers' Exchange Programme - Special 2023 Call Japan
The Leading House ETH Zurich and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) jointly fund the exchange of early career scientists between Japan and Switzerland. This Special 2023 Call for Exchange Grants Japan is a one-time-only, special call whereby Japan-based doctoral students and early-career postdoctoral students directly apply to the Leading House Asia.
2023 Call for Innovation Partnership Grants
The Leading House Asia launches the call for the Innovation Partnership Grants to support the establishment of a cooperation between Switzerland-based researchers with non-academic innovation agents (i.e. companies, start-ups, hospitals) in East and Southeast Asia including Japan.

2023 Call for Young Researchers' Exchange Programme Japan
The Leading House Asia launches the 2023 Call for Young Researchers' Exchange Programme with Japan for a funded 3-6-month stay at a research institution in Japan. Open to doctoral students of all disciplines and employed at Swiss HEI.

UZH Summer School 2023: Deep Dive into Blockchain - Linking Economics, Technology and Law
For a full understanding of Blockchain, with all its implications and potential for application in practice, it is absolutely crucial to look at it from a multidisciplinary perspective. In this Summer School, students will understand the three key pillars of blockchain systems, namely the technology, the economics and the legal aspects behind it. Building on this, they will then explore other fields of application, such as forensics and data analytics. This program is highly interactive, with hands-on practice sessions incorporating the most advanced and promising blockchain-based platforms.

UZH Summer School 2023: Finance for the Future: Investments, Sustainable Finance and FinTech
This Summer School will focus on the past, present and future development of the Swiss financial system and wealth management in Switzerland. Students will enhance their knowledge in macroeconomics and finance. Furthermore, they will learn about the most recent and promising trends in FinTech and Sustainable Finance, and will apply their gained knowledge in a portfolio management game. UZH Summer School 2023: International Sports Law: Legal Challenges in the Fight Against Doping
Specific issues that will be addressed include the limits to disciplinary and investigative autonomy of sports organizations in internal disciplinary proceedings, e.g. relating to doping, and the role and limits of adjudication by arbitral tribunals and internal bodies of such organizations in general.

UNIL Summer Undergraduate Research Programme in the Biological Sciences
The UNIL's School of Biology launches a call for applications to the 2023 Summer Undergraduate Research (SUR) Programme in the biological sciences. This English-taught 8-week programme (July 3rd to August 25th, 2023) aims at introducing Bachelor-level students to the world of biological and biomedical research: Individual students will be each integrated in a different experimental research laboratory of the School of Biology.

For 2022, the SNSF and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) are launching a joint call for proposals on the theme of “Designing Future Societies”. A maximum of 10 joint projects will receive funding for three years.
