Bio
Lukas Loss (born in 1997 in Basel) studied piano at the Hochschule für Musik Basel with Claudio Martínez Mehner, as well as with Anton Kernjak and Jan Schultsz. Further lessons with Rafael Rosenfeld, Felix Renggli, François Benda, Thomas Demenga, Michel Roth, Marc Hantaï, and Alexander Sitkovetsky. At the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, he studied harpsichord under Andrea Scherer. He attended masterclasses by Stephen Kovacevic, Ferenc Rados, Oliver Schnyder, Heinz Holliger, Denes Varjon, Alexei Ogrintchouk, Hatto Beyerle, Helmut Lachenmann, Patrick Jüdt, Antonio Meneses, and Stefan Arnold. He graduated Summa cum Laude. As a soloist, he performed with the Basel Symphony Orchestra and the Academic Orchestra Basel. From 2016 to 2018, he served as the Vice Conductor of the Knabenkantorei Basel. Lukas Loss, along with the “Trio Carmine,” performs concerts in Norway, Denmark, Spain, Latvia, Italy, France, and Switzerland, and they are an ECMA ensemble. In early 2022, the “Trio Carmine” was featured on BBC Radio. Lukas Loss directs the “Interfinity” music festival and the classical concert series at the Kloster Dornach and is a board member of the Collegium Musicum Basel.
Bio
Dr Henry Legg is a theoretical physicist specialised in quantum materials and devices. He studied mathematics and theoretical physics at the University of St Andrews, where he graduated with first class honours and received the award for best physics student in every year of his studies. Subsequently he completed his PhD in the honours branch of the University of Cologne in Nov. 2019 on the topic “Transport and disorder in Dirac materials”. Since 2020 he is a post-doctoral fellow in the Quantum Condensed Matter Theory and Quantum Computing Group at the University of Basel, where he is funded by his own prestigious Georg H. Endress fellowship. Dr Legg’s research interests involve topological materials, superconductivity, and devices based on exotic quantum matter. Dr Legg has 25 peer-reviewed publications, with several in high impact journals such as Nature Nanotechnology and Nature Physics.
Bio
Clarinetist Anna Gāgane began her musical education with Gunārs Kļaviņš at Emīls Dārziņš Music School and later studied with Guntis Kuzma at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music (JVLMA). Additionally, she studied at Lübeck Academy of Music with Sabine Meyer and Reiner Wehle and earned two master’s degrees from the Basel Academy of Music, class of François Benda. Anna is the winner of numerous international competitions; she has received Latvia’s Grand Music Award and the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship.
Since 2019, Anna has been the assistant principal clarinet at the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and a lecturer at the JVLMA. In addition to her work at the Orchestra and the Academy, she regularly takes part in chamber music projects, collaborates with young composers and frequently performs as a soloist in Switzerland and Latvia.

Michele Innocente is a video designer specializing in video installations and videos for cultural and artistic exhibition spaces. With extensive experience in projections for opera and theater, he brings a unique combination of creativity and technical expertise to his projects.
