As an environmental and sustainability psychologist, Professor Cathérine Hartmann is interested in changing individuals’ daily behavior for a sustainable and just future. Considering that the sustainability challenges faced in Switzerland are (still) technologically and behaviorally solvable, She wants to broaden her viewpoint and learn how topics like tackling climate change are addressed in different cultural circumstances. Therefore, she will focus on the Brazilian setting in academia and business, wherever the human-related impacts for a transformation towards a more sustainable future emerge in mobility, food, energy, waste & recycling, etc.
Swissnex in Brazil will host a networking event on 25 October. Professor Cathérine Hartmann from Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) will go deeper into her research, focusing on behavior change for sustainable development. She aims to expand and strengthen her intercultural competencies in an already familiar environment with a specific focus on sustainability-related topics by exchanging with stakeholders in academia and businesses.
It will be an excellent opportunity to meet new people, exchange insights, and strengthen the bridge between Brazil and Switzerland, connecting interested parties to close university collaboration.
