About the Infrastructure Forum
The Embassy of Switzerland in Brazil, in cooperation with the Swiss Business Hub Brazil and Swissnex in Brazil, will host the Infrastructure Forum Brazil-Switzerland 2024 – on the road to net zero on October 23 and 24 in São Paulo, Brazil.
The pipeline of infrastructure projects continues to be large as Brazil continues to implement the privatization agenda and embark on an energy transition agenda. This offers many opportunities for companies and startups from Switzerland and Liechtenstein, catering to the sectors of sanitation, energy, transport, ports, and airports, as well as financial institutions.
The Forum will unite decision-makers in the infrastructure sector: Government authorities, Brazilian operators and concessionaries, companies, and startups from Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as well as the financial community, investors, associations, regulators, and carbon credit compensation agencies. In light of COP30 and the priorities of G20 Brasil 2024 IWG, decarbonization, climate-resilient infrastructure, financing and mitigation of FX risk, and linking infrastructure to poverty reduction are transversal topics.
Innovation Challenge
As part of the Infrastructure Forum Brazil-Switzerland 2024, Swissnex in Brazil will power the Innovation Challenge, where innovative Swiss startups will pitch their cutting-edge solutions to a distinguished audience, including major companies in their respective sectors.
Moderated by Vincent Neumann, Startups & Innovation Program Manager at Swissnex in Brazil, this competition will offer startups an exciting platform to showcase their advancements in areas like real-time visibility, sustainable mobility, intelligent freight logistics, and next-gen monitoring technologies. The startups participating in the challenge include Riskwolf, DAAV, Ponera, KohlenKraft, and Straintest. These startups represent the forefront of Swiss innovation, aiming to address critical infrastructure challenges while supporting the road to net zero.
