This June and July, Swissnex in Boston and New York is going all-in on biotech with a summer of activities connecting the brightest minds in life sciences in Switzerland and the US.
The program brings together founders, researchers, investors, and industry leaders who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in biotech.
Switzerland is home to some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies, and its research institutions and startups are producing a new generation of innovation ready to compete on the global stage. Boston, meanwhile, is the undisputed capital of biotech innovation — an unparalleled cluster of research hospitals, universities, and venture capital. For the Swiss biotech community, there is no better place to build connections, test ideas, and find new partners. This summer, Swissnex is channeling that energy into a full season of programming designed to connect Swiss biotech — from founders to researchers, industry leaders to policymakers — with the Boston ecosystem.
The season kicks off on June 15, as four Swiss startups arrive in Boston for the Biotech Startup Camp, powered by Innosuisse. Over four days, they’ll dive into Boston’s world-class biotech ecosystem to explore market validation and market entry. On June 17, the startups will pitch to investors and industry experts during an exclusive garden party at the Swiss Residence in Lexington. The following week, the startups will travel to San Diego for the BIO 2026 International Convention, where they’ll connect with industry insiders from across the US and around the world.
While the founders take the West Coast, the conversation continues in Boston. On June 22, Swissnex and the ETH Zurich will cohost a briefing on the state of biotech investing, featuring insights from industry and venture capital.
There’s more to come in July as we connect Basel and Boston leaders to discuss building sustainable biotech hubs and engineering bacteria for human health. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements.
