The monthly Science Club highlights cooperation in S&T between Switzerland and Korea by inviting researchers developing joint projects, experiencing research exchange between the two countries or to share their latest developments.
Participants from Korea, Switzerland and anywhere else are all welcome to join!

Consolidation Grant call

The 2024 Call for Consolidation Grants is a special call that supports research projects with collaborating institutions in South Korea. The collaboration must be based on an existing partnership between researchers and scientists affiliated to a Swiss institution and researchers affiliated to a Korean institution.

To be eligible to apply, the partners must have already conducted at least one activity together.
Open to all scientific disciplines and fields of research, including social sciences and humanities.

Grant sum: max. 50'000 CHF
Project duration: up to 12 months

Deadline: 24 May 2024

Korea-Switzerland bilateral call for Joint Innovation Projects 2024

The Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) and the Swiss Innovation Agency (Innosuisse) announce a bilateral call for join R&D project outlines focused on developing market-ready solutions for products, technology-based services or processes that have significant market potential for South Korea and Switzerland.
Open to all disciplines, but particularly encouraged:
Biotech, Medtech, Digitalisation, AI, Additive manufacturing, Smart Materials, AR/VR, Hydrogen technologies, Renewable energy/batteries.

Deadline: 1 April 2024

Early-Career Grant 2024 Call

The main purpose of the Early-Career Grant Call is to foster and facilitate the direct exchange between Swiss research groups and their Asian research partners and to enable the mobility of early-career researchers from Swiss Universities, public research institutes, Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and Universities of Teacher Education (UTEs). Research stays in countries/territories in East Asia or Southeast Asia may motivate researchers to spend part of their later scientific career abroad while they are at the same time given the chance to learn a new technique or use some infrastructure directly relevant to their current research project.

Project duration: minimum 3 months and up to 6 months
Open to all scientific fields including social sciences, humanities, design and the arts.
