Artificial Intelligence & Entrepreneurship: Shaping the future of workplaces with learnings from Silicon Valley
California stands as a global innovation hub where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and entrepreneurial culture intersect, fostering an environment rich in synergies and groundbreaking advancements. The Bay Area, in particular, is the epicenter of AI progress, fueled by breakthroughs in generative AI technologies, such as ChatGPT, and their fast adoption by a tech-savvy workforce. Complementing this, California’s educational institutions are internationally renowned for their innovative teaching and learning models.
These institutions empower students to actively engage in a dynamic ecosystem that seamlessly integrates academic insights with industry demands and real-world applications. By doing so, they set a global benchmark for preparing students to excel in the evolving future of work, where creativity and adaptability are essential skills.
This workshop explores the transformative impact of Entrepreneurship and Artificial Intelligence on today’s workforce, showcasing tools and innovations shaping the future. Participants will learn about tangible examples, such as integrating AI into teaching and learning, advancing AI-augmented healthcare, and fostering creativity with AI.
The program will also feature insights into entrepreneurship education, highlighting initiatives like SkyDeck (UC Berkeley), the Silicon Valley Center for Entrepreneurship (San José State University), and HomeLab (UC San Diego). The aim is to harness diverse expertise and equip the next generation of professionals to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly evolving labor market.
Format: This workshop is facilitated by Swissnex and begins with a presentation on the latest trends in AI and entrepreneurship from Silicon Valley’s universities and training institutions, highlighting how these developments could benefit and resonate for the Swiss education landscape. In a next step, participants will engage in a Q&A session to explore how these trends align with their roles, how they can implement new ideas, and create synergies in their institutions.
This workshop is a collaboration between Movetia and the Swissnex network.
