Self-driving cars in Switzerland?
By learning from San Francisco’s experience with Cruise, we’ll explore the challenges and opportunities ahead. Experts from Switzerland and San Francisco will share insights to help shape our cities of the future.
How could we imagine introducing self-driving cars in Switzerland? How can we transition smoothly to this new technology, integrating key stakeholders such as public authorities and civil society? What might the future hold for public transportation with the advent of self-driving cars? How will human and urban safety be impacted, and what will the cities of the future look like?
These questions gain additional relevance considering the situation in San Francisco, where Cruise, a leading self-driving car company, faced significant pushback from the local population. Learning from these challenges and the public’s concerns can offer valuable insights for a more effective implementation in Switzerland.
These topics will be explored from global, Swiss, and local perspectives in a discussion among urban and mobility experts and stakeholders from Switzerland and San Francisco.
