Presence Switzerland, the Embassy of Switzerland in Japan, and Swissnex in Japan organized a day-long program to celebrate the occasion. Dignitaries from Japan and Switzerland, including FDFA Secretary General Markus Seiler, Head of Presence Switzerland a.i., Alexandre Edelmann, Commissioner General Swiss Pavilion Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Manuel Salchli, Deputy Secretary General, Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, Manatsu Ichinoki, Ambassador of Switzerland to Japan, Andreas Baum, Consul & CEO Felix Moesner, long-standing partner NUSSLI Group CEO, Andy Böckli, and Director & Executive Vice President of Tekken Corporation, Shinichi Fujimori, joined the official ceremony with a Shinto blessing at Yumeshima Island.
Following the ceremony, Swissnex in Japan hosted a media event and evening celebration with the presence of distinguished guests, including the Governor of Osaka Prefecture, Hirofumi Yoshimura, and Secretary General of Japan Association for the 2025 World Exposition, Hiroyuki Ishige. To top it, the official mascot of Expo 2025 Osaka, Myaku Myaku, made a remarkable appearance on stage!
