This month, Swissnex will welcome a delegation of 15 EMBA students from Università della Svizzera italiana (USI) to Boston for a week-long study tour focused on environmental sustainability. From July 8 to 12, the students will examine sustainability challenges and solutions across the area’s academic and innovation landscape, from Boston University and MIT to meetings with startups and local experts. Throughout the week, they will gain insight on sustainability ethics and strategy, innovation challenges and climate action, and the ins and outs of business in Boston.
The USI EMBA is launching its Boston program to give students the opportunity to learn from the region’s flourishing sustainability ecosystem. The delegation is led by Paulo Gonçalves, Professor of Management and Director of the Executive MBA program at USI. Prof. Gonçalves is no stranger to the area, having earned both an M.Sc. in Technology and Policy and a Ph.D. from MIT.
USI is a public university in the canton of Ticino, the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland. The USI EMBA is a modular, English-language degree focused on educating ethical global business visionaries through an unwavering commitment to excellence in education. The program, led by experienced international faculty who bridge theory and practice, embraces cutting-edge innovation, champions values and ethics, and commits to sustainability.
