April 24, 2025 | Boston & New York
As part of a program with La Mobilière, Switzerland’s oldest and largest private insurer, Swissnex is welcoming several trendscoutsto Boston and New York in 2025 to conduct research on the future of the insurance industry. The program, in its fourth year, gives employees of the company access to Swissnex’s global network, helping them take a deep dive into a research topic and connect with relevant experts in twelve cities around the world.
Melinda David, joining us in New York in April and May, seeks to understand how insurers can interact with the customers of the future by investigating communication strategies and channels in other industries, including food delivery. Rea Fonjallaz will travel to New York and Boston in May and June to conduct research on the use of AI and human expertise in customer communications, and how they can be balanced in order to maximize efficiency as well as trust and loyalty. Additional participants will arrive later in the year.
The program offers two formats, a four-week “Inspire” module enabling participants to conduct their research while building a local network, as well as an eight-week “Deep Dive” module, allowing for a more in-depth project. Throughout the program, participants are supported by Swissnex staff with workshops in research, design thinking, and pitching, as well as outreach and insights into the local ecosystem.
Previous participants have investigated differences in digitalization across ecosystems, customer centricity, and the growing importance of legal tech in the insurance industry.
