Switzerland has quietly become a global powerhouse for deeptech innovation, and the numbers speak for themselves. ETH Zurich and EPFL rank #1 and #2 globally for alumni-founded deep tech startups, having produced 286 VC-backed ventures since 2020 — more than MIT, Stanford, and the Ivy League combined. These Swiss Federal Institutes of Technology also hold the two of the top three positions in European spinout value creation, with a combined 8 unicorns, $6.4 billion raised, and $24.2 billion in enterprise value since 2022.
Switzerland ranks in the top 3 in Europe for deeptech’s share of total VC funding at approximately 40%— yet the ecosystem remains significantly under-the-radar for US investors, representing a compelling opportunity.
Over lunch, you’ll discover what makes Switzerland such fertile ground for deeptech investment — from its world-class research institutions and R&D infrastructure to its concentration of engineering talent and track record of building category-defining companies.
You’ll also learn how you can connect directly with Swiss startups and get a preview of the next edition of the Swiss Venture Connect Roadshow, returning in January 2027.
Attendance by invitation only.
