From the subway’s Helvetica to NYC Taxis to bridges and buildings across the city, the influence of Swiss design on New York is unmistakable. But this influence isn’t just visible in the built environment – talented alumni from Swiss universities are everywhere in the city, at the forefront of business, research, and the arts.
The Consulate General of Switzerland in New York and Swissnex invite you to an evening of networking for alumni and former affiliates of Swiss universities. Connect with entrepreneurs, researchers, innovators, and alumni with a common background and share your experiences in Switzerland and the US. Welcome remarks will be followed by food, drink, and plenty of opportunity for networking.
You will also have the opportunity to explore CHROMA – A Vibrant Experience of Swiss Design, an installation presented by the Consulate General of Switzerland as part of NYCxDESIGN. The installation celebrates Swiss craftsmanship, featuring newly created interactive sculptures designed by Nadja Stäubli and produced by the Brooklyn-based design studio TWOSEVEN, alongside works by atelier oï, Röthlisberger, USM Modular Furniture, Jakob Schlaepfer, Sula, and more.
