Charlie Sidoti is the founder and executive director of Innsure, a nonprofit with a mission to foster innovation in insurance and a focus on catalyzing insurance industry response to climate change.

He has 25 years in the insurance industry, all with commercial P&C carriers in a variety of risk management leadership roles. He served on the board of the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety. Sidoti has also spent 10 years working on insurance-adjacent startups.

Sidoti is a visiting lecturer and adviser to Northeastern University on the new Insurance Analytics and Management master’s program.

Alex Heil, PhD, is a Senior Economist at The Conference Board. An applied economist, he has more than 20 years of experience in the energy, environment and infrastructure space. His work is centered on the energy transition, renewable energy resources, urban economics, and how infrastructure and transportation will affect development patterns and economic trends.

Before joining the Conference Board, Alex was VP for Research at the Citizens Budget Commission, a think tank focused on the finances and operations of New York City and State governments. Prior to CBC, Alex was the Chief Economist of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. In that role, he analyzed regional economic conditions, conducted regional cost benefit analysis, assessed the regional economic impacts of transportation investments, and undertook economic and financial project evaluations. He also worked as a consultant on energy and utility projects for private and public sector clients as an economist for CDM Smith, Inc.

Alex has been a frequent speaker and presenter at conferences and events for commercial real estate, transportation, and financial executives in the Greater New York metropolitan region and nationwide.

His background includes a strong focus on environmental economics and sustainability. He contributed to a Congressional Study on Investments in Transportation Resilience, and has been an adjunct faculty member in the Sustainability Management Program at Columbia University’s Climate School for more than a decade.

Originally from Germany, he received his BSc from Hawai’i Pacific University in Honolulu, his MSc from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and his PhD from the University of South Wales in the United Kingdom.

Max Vargas is the President and CEO of The Greenlining Institute. He is a former unaccompanied minor from Peru, political asylee, and naturalized citizen that has dedicated his professional and personal life to centering redlined and underserved communities and to strengthening, challenging, and building the systems and movements our communities deserve.

Prior to joining Greenlining, Max led efforts to unleash the economic power of Latinos as the Vice President of Economic Justice at the Latino Community Foundation. He also previously served as Deputy Director of First 5 California and as Senior Policy Advisor to Stockton Mayor Michael Tubbs. Max has also worked for the State Senate, State Assembly, local workforce development and transportation agencies, and the National Council of La Raza (now UnidosUS).

He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of the Pacific and a J.D. from the McGeorge School of Law. He is an alumnus of the Rose Center’s Equitable Economic Development Fellowship and the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative, and serves on the McGeorge School of Law Diversity Board.

Natalia Moudrak is a Climate Risk and Resilience expert, having worked at the intersection of climate, finance, insurance, and the built environment for nearly two decades. Her experience ranges from insurance, having recently led global Climate Risk Advisory initiatives at Aon; sustainable infrastructure, through her involvement on the Steering Committee for the FAST-Infra Label; resilient design, having developed Canada’s first guidelines and standards to limit extreme weather risk for homes, communities, and commercial real estate; as well as the integration of nature-based solutions into the built environment. Natalia actively engages with the technology innovation landscape and is a Climate Innovation Board Member at MaRS Discovery District; one of the world’s largest urban innovation hubs; and Senior Advisor to Mundi Ventures, a global venture capital firm that invests in early- and growth-stage ventures. Natalia holds degrees in Economics, Finance and Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo, and is a recipient of the 2024 Fin-Erth Top Women in Climate Award.

Adri is a sustainable investment expert with over a decade of experience. As part of the LOIM Sustainable Private Credit investment team, she focuses on investments that aim to achieve both risk-adjusted financial returns and contribute to a low-carbon, climate-resilient, and nature-positive economy.

Previously, Adri worked in Debt Capital Markets at Santander, where she structured pioneering green and sustainable bonds in Latin America. She also has experience in management consulting at McKinsey and Green Banks research with the Global Climate Finance team at the Rocky Mountain Institute.

Adri holds an M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University, a B.A. in Financial Management from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and has passed the CFA Level I Exam.

Louis is the CEO of the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation. Louis has a background as an engineer with a diverse professional practice across developed, emerging and least developed economies as well as in conflict and post-conflict contexts.

He is a respected thought leader, experienced innovator and sustainability expert. Louis has a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemistry (Hons), a Bachelor of Science in Physics and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, as well as a Certificate in International Development. Louis has lead complex multi-stakeholder processes including the development of SuRe® – The Standard for Sustainable and Resilient Infrastructure.

Karen serves as an Investment Strategist at ImpactAssets Capital Partners, a dedicated impact investing advisory firm. In her role, Karen provides impact investing advisory services to family offices, foundations, nonprofit and corporate clients. Her work spans asset classes, impact investment themes, and return profiles.

Karen has nearly two decades of investment industry experience including serving as the Head of Inclusive Investing within the wealth management division at UBS as well as a municipal investment banker at Morgan Stanley and UBS.  Prior to entering financial services, Karen served as a middle school math teacher through Teach For America, and counseled adult inpatients with Schizophrenia.

Karen has a BA in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and an MS in Elementary Education from Lehman College. Karen serves as a Trustee for the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.

Mariana Silva Zúñiga is an infrastructure finance specialist with a background spanning investment banking, multilateral development banks (IDB, World Bank), and public-sector infrastructure delivery. At the IDB, she structured innovative public-sector financing to crowd in private capital, from capital-markets instruments to PPP frameworks. She currently leads Strategy at the Global Infrastructure Facility (GIF), a World Bank–hosted G20 platform mobilizing private capital for sustainable infrastructure, where she’s worked across all 11 GIF Technical Partners and helped bring 48 projects to commercial close. She holds a Master’s in International Banking and Finance from Hong Kong Lingnan University.

Annika Brack is Head of Global Political Affairs at Zurich-based Hitachi Energy, where she leads the development and coordination of the company’s global government relations strategy, working across regions to align advocacy priorities and engagement with policymakers. Her work focuses on the policy challenges and opportunities emerging at the intersection of energy, AI and advanced manufacturing, key enablers of the global energy transition. Prior to joining Hitachi Energy, she held senior roles at the World Economic Forum, in the private and public sectors, as well as in think tanks. She is a UNAOC Fellow and a WEF Global Leadership Fellow, and studied international affairs and economics in Paris, Washington, D.C., and Berlin.

Andrew Fishbein heads policy and government affairs in North America for Climeworks. Based in Washington DC, he is responsible for Climeworks’ policy strategy to propel the commercial scale-up of direct air capture and the development of high-integrity carbon removal markets in North America.

Drawing on nearly two decades of experience working in policy and advocacy at the intersections of energy, democracy, and international affairs, he works to shape legislation and regulation to unlock commercial opportunity for carbon removal to scale.

Judy Huynh is a GIS & Data Analyst and Designer at Rebuild by Design, leading spatial analysis and mapping design across national, state, and local initiatives. Working at the intersection of climate risk, disaster recovery, infrastructure finance, and equity, she translates complex datasets into accessible, actionable tools for policymakers, advocates, and the public.

At Rebuild by Design, Judy has played a central role in developing and delivering projects including the Atlas of Accountability, Atlas of Disaster, Parks as Infrastructure, Selling Flood Risk, New Jersey Flood Risk = Financial Risk and Climate Migration initiatives. She is responsible for end-to-end geospatial analysis and visualization, including data sourcing and integration, GIS modeling, interactive map development, and visual storytelling. Her work combines federal datasets such as FEMA, HUD, Treasury, Census, and state and local sources to reveal how climate hazards intersect with public investment, housing markets, and community vulnerability.

Judy holds a Master of Urban Planning from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies with a specialization in Urban Design from the University of Waterloo. She specializes in using GIS, Mapbox, and spatial analytics to make climate and disaster data accessible, credible, and policy-relevant.
