International cooperation and exchange for education
Swissnex and Movetia are working together to facilitate and support mobility and cooperation projects outside of Europe for Swiss educational institutions. The support offered by Swissnex is available to Movetia stakeholders at all levels of education. This collaboration focuses on offering tailored services to address the unique needs of educators and institutions.
With their unique knowledge and extensive network, Swissnex locations are well-equipped to assist with a variety of challenges, particularly regarding cultural and practical issues. The six Swissnex main locations offer Movetia stakeholders a range of services, including matchmaking, workshops, scouting activities, and project facilitation.

This collaboration offers three types of main services:
Matchmaking:
Online Workshops: These sessions showcase international opportunities and trends for Movetia’s stakeholders, encouraging engagement with global institutions through expert insights.
Scouting Services: Swissnex identifies potential international partners for Swiss institutions, providing detailed reports and facilitating direct introductions.
Facilitating:
Project Creation Support:Swissnex helps transform initial collaboration ideas into actionable projects by offering location-related expertise and guidance.
Implementing:
Project Support: Swissnex provides ongoing support during project execution, including networking, ecosystem mapping, translation, project promotion, and event organization.
Who can apply?
Movetia supports exchanges, mobilities, and cooperation projects. Institutions and organizations based in Switzerland which want to realize an exchange project can apply for funding from Movetia. The funding opportunities are for all educational levels:
School education: primary school, lower secondary school and upper secondary school (baccalaureate upper secondary schools, specialized secondary schools)
Youth work: youth organizations, public youth work in the municipalities

Movetia is the national agency for the promotion of exchanges and mobility in the education system. Be it within Switzerland, with other European countries or elsewhere in the world, Movetia encourages and supports exchange, mobility and cooperation activities in the different sectors of education, ranging from primary school through adult education to university level, as well as promoting extracurricular activities.
