As Switzerland prepares to host the AI Summit in Geneva in 2027, this event brings together Swiss and Silicon Valley perspectives on the technologies, governance questions, and global dynamics shaping the future of AI. The evening introduces Geneva Loading… and its twelve participants, and opens a conversation about what Switzerland can realistically shape in the lead-up to the Summit.
In June 2027, Geneva will host the AI Summit, following Bletchley Park, Seoul, Paris, and New Delhi. Substantive participation in that conversation takes fluency with the environments where frontier models are actually built, funded, and contested.
Geneva Loading…, a collaboration between Swissnex in San Francisco and Mercator Foundation Switzerland, prepares twelve thought leaders from Switzerland to bring independent, grounded perspectives to the Summit.
The program runs in three phases: a preparatory session in Switzerland, a week-long immersion in San Francisco in November 2026, and participation in Geneva in 2027.
On September 30 in Zurich, as part of the Zurich AI Festival, we open the program publicly.
Swissnex San Francisco and the Mercator Foundation will introduce Geneva Loading… and the 12 selected participants. Arnaud Auger, Director at Cathay Innovation, will then share how these questions look from Silicon Valley. A panel will put that view in direct conversation with Swiss perspectives. The evening closes with networking and an apéro.
