What would it mean to imagine a new diplomacy – a diplomacy for the planet?
Swissnex presents the Planetary Embassy in Boston, a six-month series dedicated to international, interdisciplinary, and interspecies collaboration. Part of Swissnex’s global initiative to imagine a new “planetary diplomacy,” will explore how we can work with the more-than-human world to address urgent and interconnected crises.
From December 2025 to May 2026, the Swissnex office in Cambridge, MA, will transform into a Planetary Embassy, hosting conversations, installations, film screenings, and more on these topics featuring contributions from Switzerland, Boston, and beyond.
The Planetary Visions exhibition showcases works by young artists and thinkers reimagining how humans might collaborate with the planet.

What is a Planetary Embassy?
The Planetary Embassy comes alive through a series of pop-up experiences across the Swissnex network. Weaving together research, technology, indigenous knowledge, and the arts, the program invites you—from Climate Week NYC to COP30 in the Amazon—to co-create a “planetary diplomacy” that reaches across species, time scales, and natural forces, helping us negotiate our place within a more-than-human world.
