Boston & New York | April 9, 20205
As part of the ZHAW Staff Mobility Program coordinated by Swissnex, seven faculty and staff from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) will travel to Boston and New York in 2025. Of these, six are participating in a two-week residency focused on research, collaborative projects, and knowledge exchange with universities in the US, while one person will embark on a month-long stay. Representing six of ZHAW’s eight schools, the participants will explore topics from AI to creative coding to student exchange.
As part of the program, Swissnex facilitates tailored connections with local experts and provides valuable insights into the academic landscape in the United States. Through this support, ZHAW participants are able to share expertise, expand their professional networks, and deepen institutional collaboration between Zurich and leading academic centers on the East Coast and beyond.
Over the past decade, Swissnex has played a key role in helping ZHAW build and expand academic partnerships on the East Coast of the US, including a dual degree program with Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Beyond formal agreements, the Staff Mobility Program has also enabled numerous meaningful peer-level connections, resulting in co-authored publications, collaborative panels, and new research initiatives between ZHAW faculty and academic peers in Boston and New York.
The following ZHAW faculty and staff will take part in the 2025 edition of the Staff Mobility Program, traveling to the East Coast to further these exchanges:
