  • 8inks (Leon Baade) is revolutionizing battery manufacturing with a scalable platform for mass-producing NextGen battery designs and materials, accelerating electrification.
  • GraphEnergyTech (Thomas P. Baumeler) is transforming the solar industry with a cutting-edge carbon-based electrode technology, replacing costly and environmentally harmful silver with a material that is 10 times more conductive and 97% greener.
  • Neology Hydrogen (Yumiko Misaki) is redefining off-grid power generation with its ammonia-to-power technology, supporting construction sites, mining, EV charging, and microgrids.
  • SAMAWATT AG (Kenji Taniguchi) leverages AI-powered trading software to analyze renewable energy production, supply-demand fluctuations, and electricity markets, optimizing real-time revenues for power producers.
  • Voltiris (Nicolas Weber) enables greenhouses to generate clean energy without compromising plant growth by utilizing spectral light filtering with solar panels.

In addition to this impressive roster of startups, two Swiss SMEs with extensive experience in energy solutions joined the initiative:

  • KELLER Pressure (Yasin Frei), a leader in pressure transducer and transmitter manufacturing for over 50 years, continues to pair expertise with innovation.
  • Sécheron SA (Viktor Lenkov), a global leader in electrical protection and switching solutions, provides cutting-edge technologies for rail transport, energy-intensive industries, and renewable energy applications.

On February 17, this landmark event united Swiss startups, SMEs, and Japanese industry leaders for a dynamic evening of networking and innovation. We were honored to welcome Ms. Waka Kotani, Director at the Kansai Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, who provided invaluable insights into Kansai’s economic potential and post-Expo 2025 Osaka opportunities.

Tokyo: Swiss Pavilion at H2 & FC Expo 2025

From February 19 to 21, the Swiss Pavilion at the H2 & Fuel Cell Expo 2025 showcased 18 pioneering Swiss companies, alongside CleantechAlps and Switzerland Innovation. Their cutting-edge solutions in hydrogen production, storage, and utilization attracted global industry leaders. On February 20, David Braun (Deputy Head of Mission), Fabian Stiefvater (Head of Swiss Business Hub Japan), and Dr. Felix Moesner (Swiss Consul & CEO of Swissnex in Japan) visited the Pavilion, engaging with exhibitors and reinforcing Swiss-Japanese collaboration in hydrogen innovation.
