Swiss companies are shaping future skills in China
The Swiss Vocational Education and Training (VPET) Alliance, led by SwissCham and Swissnex in China and represented by ABB China, presented the second edition of the Sino-Swiss VPET White Paper. The document maps out trends in skills-based education in China, while taking stock of ongoing initiatives of Swiss companies, as well as their challenges and opportunities towards developing and scaling their initiatives. New collaborations in research and innovation
EPFL and Tsinghua University agreed on an ambitious new collaboration towards a telescope which will create 3D maps of the universe. Swissnex in China signed an MoU with our colleagues at China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) to establish synergies on the ground and leverage our networks towards an upcoming conference on astrophysics.

Importance of people-to-people exchanges
Over the course of the 5 days, we met with several university presidents, vice presidents and notable researchers. In addition to a VIP dinner in Beijing, our Planetary Thinking event in Shanghai allowed for more informal and in-depth discussions between various Swiss and Chinese stakeholders.
