Why India?

India continues to emerge as one of the world’s fastest-growing innovation ecosystems, driven by a dynamic startup landscape, a rapidly expanding digital economy and strong capabilities in science, technology and entrepreneurship. With one of the world’s largest startup ecosystems, a growing deep-tech sector and increasing investments in research and innovation, India offers significant opportunities for Indo–Swiss collaboration across academia, industry and innovation.

Bilateral engagement between Switzerland and India has gained renewed momentum through a series of high-level policy and institutional exchanges, further strengthened by the signing of the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) between India and the EFTA states.

Our Official Network Abroad

As part of Switzerland’s official network abroad, Swissnex co-operates with other Swiss governmental organisations abroad, including Embassies, Consulate Generals, Presence Switzerlands, the Swiss Business Hubs (Switzerland Global Enterprise), Switzerland Tourism as well as Pro Helvetia Liaison offices.

Our Space

Our office is located in the heart of Bengaluru at 26 Rest House Crescent Road and includes a working area that we share with Swiss academics, scientists and startups. We also have a community event space which we let out to our partners.

Host your Event at Swissnex

Our ground-floor event space is available to partners interested in hosting events, particularly in the areas of health, sustainability and responsible digitisation. Network

Swissnex is a global network consisting of six locations and outposts established in the world’s most innovative hubs. Together with around twenty Science and Technology Offices (STO) and Counselors (STC) based in Swiss Embassies, we contribute to strengthening Switzerland’s profile as a world-leading innovation hotspot.
Boston and New York

Founded in 2000, Boston is the very first Swissnex location as well as the first Science Consulate in the world. The New York office opened in 2013. Swissnex in Boston and New York is located at our original Cambridge location in Greater Boston and at Spring Place in New York City.
