The Academia Industry Training program is specifically designed for Swiss and Indian researchers who are passionate about pursuing entrepreneurship. Ten Swiss startups and six Indian startups will be introduced to the Indian innovation ecosystem via business cultural sessions, knowledge sessions (on market strategy, patent strategy, etc.), refining pitches with expert feedback, 1:1 connects with domain-specific mentors, VCs and more, all powered by Swissnex in India.

    Gnanli Landrou

    Oxara AG is a buildtech startup aiming to provide sustainable and affordable housing, by transforming excavation waste to building materials using a unique admixture technology. Oxara's additives enable construction material manufacturers to produce cement-free building materials and non-fired bricks, for a sustainable architecture.

    Anna Krammer

    Solaxer is a cleantech startup that helps industries cut reliance on fossil fuels by delivering a new method of heat harvesting. Their next generation technology delivers air-stable solar receivers with superior durability, high performance but with significantly reduced environmental impact at a lower cost.

    Simulatory GmbH

    Venkat Gourishankar

    Simulatory is a medtech startup that develops smart surgical platforms that allow unlimited training for surgeons in real-life-like anatomy. By mimicking the surgeon’s workspace accurately, the platform powered by Machine learning based-AI provides detailed performance metrics of the surgeon, for analysis and more.

    Synature is a wildlife conservation-based startup that develops real-time wildlife monitoring technologies based on AI. The improved acoustic surveillance technology is capable of determining the location of wild animals without disturbing their natural habitat. Thus, providing sharper detection accuracy, longer battery life, better usability and more. 

    PEROVSKIA SOLAR AG

    Anand Verma

    Perovskia is a cleantech startup that provides customizable solar cells. Digitally printed perovskite solar cells are seamlessly integrated into any IoT device, from smart watches to smart homes. Perovskite material enables these cells to even operate in low-light conditions and at a low cost.

    NextImmune AG

    NextImmune is a pharma startup that focuses on the research and development of selective immunosuppressive drugs, that protect against autoimmune diseases and transplant rejection, without compromising the immune response the human body requires to defend against infections and cancers.

    TOSA swisstech SA

    Sawsane Queloz

    TOSA is a cleantech startup that develops a technology to replace 'metal' bipolar plates with sustainable 'composite' bipolar plates for energy storage batteries and fuel cells. Comparatively, these conductive composites are ultralight, durable, non-corrosive, compact, and efficient.

    Nagi Bioscience SA

    Matteo Cornaglia

    Nagi Bioscience is a biotech startup that aims to revolutionize drug / chemical screening, with the first “Organism-on-Chip” technology. A scalable and ethical alternative to animal testing, with the aim to boost innovation and efficiency in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and chemical industries.

    Seismohealth

    Panagiotis Martakis

    Seismohealth is a buildtech startup that deploys AI to evaluate real time structural conditions of existing buildings / bridges, through reports, alarms and customized condition metrics. By “personalizing” the maintenance planning to the actual condition of the monitored structure, the technology mitigates the damage risk by interpreting vibrations due to wind or traffic into structural condition metrics.

    Bionomous is a life science startup that combines innovative micro-engineering design and artificial intelligence, to automate the screening, sorting and dispensing of small biological entities (ranging from 0.5mm to 2mm). The startup aims to develop and commercialize devices to accelerate research in the field of bio technology.

    Life and Limb is a medtech startup specialized in developing affordable, multi fingered prosthetic hands for trans-radial amputees. These arms are multi-fit with adjustable straps, single actuator for simple design, cost-effective, and custom-built for each user, empowering them to live to the fullest.

    Werehab Technologies

    Vishwal Padole

    WeRehab is a medtech startup that aims to modernize physiotherapy, by building rehab monitoring devices that encompass robust sensor technology. The startup deploys a portable gait analysis using a 'smart-shoe' with integrated sensors, providing real time analytics to a physiotherapist who could remotely monitor and manage their patient's rehabilitation / training needs.

    Polycycling Solutions

    Sarthak Gupta

    Polycycling Solutions is a cleantech startup working towards eliminating single-use plastic pollution. They focus on utilising non-recyclable plastic waste, by converting it into 100% recyclable construction materials. The startup is bringing about a delta four change in the field of compostable polymer by introducing second generations of 100% compostable polymer.

    Embright Infotech

    Satyanarayanan AR

    Embright is a medtech startup that mainly focuses on Auticare. They develop an affordable XR-AI based Assistive Technology learning platform for patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and special education.

The Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI)-supported  Academia Industry Training (AIT) program works alongside promising Swiss and Indian entrepreneurs aiming internationalization, through an intense market discovery camp. This endeavor is mandated by ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences which is the leading house for South Asia and Iran, and is executed by Venturelabs, Swissnex in India in association with SIIC-Kanpur.
