Swiss-Korean Innovation Week 2022

An old Korean proverb - 우물 안의 개구리 or "frog in a well" - is used to describe someone who walks through life with their head in the sand when it comes to all the diversity present in the world around them. The Swiss-Korean Innovation Week 2022 aims to establish a dialogue about the current status and identify some instruments to "rise out of the well" and create a more diverse, inclusive and innovative society.

A week-long dedication to Diversity

The Swiss-Korean Innovation Week was established in 2018 with the aim to facilitate cooperation between Switzerland and Korea in research and innovation. Following the successful editions on Medical Technologies, Smart Living, Circular Economy and Green Transition, in 2022, the annual lighthouse event of the Swiss Embassy will address the topic of diversity as a driver for innovation and success.

Women Wellbeing

This hybrid event aims to raise awareness on themes directly connected to women wellbeing with reference to the cultural context. In a dialogue, experts from Korea will address topics like prevention, treatments and development of technologies with special attention to the psychological and regulatory aspects. In addition, examples of latest technologies developed for women wellbeing will be highlighted by participants to the Tech4Eva Roadshow. (hybrid event)

Symposium

Reconciling with Bio-versity.

This (online) symposium brings together different voices to highlight some aspects of biodiversity and their connection with climate change. In a multidisciplinary approach, experts from Switzerland and South Korea will share outcomes of their research projects in this field, highlighting challenges and providing visions about the current status and future of our Planet. Embracing Diversity

How much could you get across in 400 seconds? The closing night of the Swiss-Korean Innovation Week 2022 will feature untold innovation stories in the dynamic and visual 20x20 PechaKucha format. Speakers from various backgrounds will share their personal stories under the broad theme of diversity.

Food trucks and Swiss refreshments will ensure a festive networking atmosphere in the courtyard of the Swiss Hanok.
