Co-director of the Comédie de Genève

Natacha Koutchoumov has been the co-director of the Comédie de Genève since 2017. After studying at Fordham University in New York then and Paris IIV (Sorbonne) specialized in modern literature, she entered ENSATT (Ecole de La rue Blanche, Paris) where she trained with Nada Strancar, Alain Knapp, Adel Hakim , Aurélien Recoing, and Claudia Stavisky. Natacha Koutchoumov has worked for the theater and cinema for 20 years as an actress. She is known for Garçon Stupide (2004), Do Not Panic (2006) and Another Man (2008). Already nominated for the Swiss Cinema Prize for her role in Garçon Stupide, she won this award in 2007 for her portrayal of a phobic in Do Not Panic. She is interested in writing and collaborates regularly as a columnist in the press and on the radio (Le Temps, les Quotidiennes, RTS-La Première). RTS, Rita productions and Akka films also collaborate with her on writing, to develop television and film scripts. In 2015 she directed Le Beau Monde after Le Mariage de Krétchinski by Alexandre Soukhovo-Kobyline at the Théâtre du Loup in Geneva, then Summer Break after Le Songe d’une Nuit d’Eté by Shakespeare (Théâtre du LOUP / TPR / TLH-Sierre). As part of La Manufacture, she puts on two shows: Skal! around Ibsen, Strindberg and Ingmar Bergman, and For the last time around Bérénice de Racine. Passionate about theatrical art education and acting management, she regularly teaches at at the Manufacture (High School of Performing Arts) as well as in other universities of Art (ECAL, HEAD – Geneva).

Erik is an independent producer and curator of interdisciplinary and intercultural projects. A core member of “Asian Producers’ Platform”. He has worked as programmer and festival producer in the cultural department of Macao government for more than a decade. He has produced fringe festivals, arts festivals, film festivals and other public festival events. He is the creative producer of BOK Festival and curator of ROLLOUT Dance Film Festival.

In 2009, he became an independent producer and focuses on curating international arts collaboration projects, producing collaborations between Asians and international artists. Also, promoting Macau immerging artists to international performing arts market. He has curated Macao Contemporary Arts Festival in Beijing, Made in Macao series performances in Edinburgh Festival Fringe and TPAM Fringe in Yokohama.

In recent years, one of his productions – an original Chinese music theatre “Mr. Shi and His Lover” is staging in Tarragon Theatre (Toronto) for 6 weeks and another 2 weeks in National Arts Centre (Ottawa) as part of their season programme. It received three awards from Toronto Theatre Critics Awards: “Best New Musical of the Year”, “Best Actor” and “Best Supporting Actor”. Also, five nominations from DORA Awards in 2017/18 theatre season. In the same year, he also collaborates with Music Picnic from Toronto to co-produce “Picnic in the Cemetery” and “I Swallowed a Moon Made of Iron” for Canadian Stage (Toronto) 2017/18 and 2018/19 theatre seasons. He recently producing an Asian co-production “Moon Soon Deuk Coexistence Project for Countries that Moon Drifted” with Korea, Okinawa, Philippine and Macao.

Director of International Projects in Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center (SDAC) / Programme Director of ACT Shanghai International Theatre Festival

Ophelia Jiadai Huang is Director of International Projects in Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center (SDAC) and Programme Director of ACT Shanghai International Theatre Festival. Ophelia had previously worked in arts journalism, gallery, international arts residency programme as well as international cultural agency since 2001. She plays an active role in connecting local independent scene with institutions, and sits in advisory boards for a few arts festivals and networks in Asia. Ophelia is also a dramaturg and performance artist.

Curator of performance project at Shanghai Ming Contemporary Art Museum

Yuan Zhang is a curator of contemporary performing arts. He cooperates with different international art institutions such as theaters, galleries and art festivals. And he pays particular attention to the creation of independent artists. He is currently the curator of the performance project at the Shanghai Ming Contemporary Art Museum, responsible for the curation of performance projects and the operation of the international collaboration projects.
