Interim Chief Representative Officer, Japan, World Economic ForumKiriko Honda is the Interim Chief Representative Officer for Japan; Head of Business Engagement, Japan at the World Economic Forum, leading regional strategy for Japan and responsible for the engagement of all the stakeholders in Japan. Prior to joining the World Economic Forum, Kiriko worked as Director for strategy and business management for Investment Baking Division at Deutsche Securities Inc, Deutsche Bank Group, and held positions in strategy, corporate planning, business management at Mizuho Securities Inc/Mizuho Financial Group, Abeam Consulting.

Shinsaku Toyoshima
News Presenter / TV Tokyo News DivisionIn 2005, completed a master’s degree at the Graduate School of Law and Politics, University of Tokyo and joined TV Tokyo.
After covering the prime minister’s office and the ruling and opposition parties as a political correspondent, became a presenter in charge of financial markets for World Business Satellite(WBS:TV Tokyo`s News Programm) in the spring of 2011.From 2016, covered Europe, Africa, and the Middle East as London and Moscow bureau chief. Has been the anchor of Morning Satellite since April 2021 and WBS since July 2023.
His videos explaining international political and economic news have been viewed more than 150 million times on YouTube.He is the author of “How the Ukraine War Changed the World” (KADOKAWA) -

Yu Miyaji
Deputy Editor in Chief, GLOBE, The Asahi ShimbunYu Miyaji is a Deputy Editor in Chief of GLOBE, a bi-weekly Sunday pull-out section of The Asahi Shimbun. Prior to GLOBE, she was the first San Francisco Bureau Chief of The Asahi Shimbun from 2014 to 2018, covering the tech industry, privacy and security issues, and also Trump’s first presidential campaign. She has written several books, including “What’s Really Happening in Silicon Valley” and co-authored many books on American politics, media literacy, and technology and privacy. She also served as a book reviewer of Asahi Shimbun for two years, taught journalism at several universities in Japan, and served as a panelist and a moderator at international conferences and events.

Shoukei Matsumoto
Buddhist Monk and Founder, InterbeingShokei Matsumoto is Managing Director of Japan Fellowship of Buddhists and a Buddhist Monk in Komyoji Temple, Jodo-Shinshu Hongwanji-ha. Born in 1979 in Japan, he graduated with B.A. degree in Literature from the University of Tokyo. Right after graduation, he started to serve as head of Komyoji Young Buddhist Association and initiated new projects such as Temple Café Project. In 2008, the association was awarded “Shoriki Matsutaro Prize” from a foundation for education. He is also the founder of Virtual Temple “HIGANJI” which is one of the most popular website for Buddhists in Japan. He completed MBA from Indian School of Business as an Ambassadorial Scholar of Rotary Foundation in 2011. After MBA, he started a project of “Mirai no Jushoku-Juku” or temple management school for Buddhist priests and monks. He has published more than 5 books in Japanese and some of them were translated into several other languages. He currently lives in Kyoto, Japan. In 2013, he was nominated as a member of Young Global Leaders 2013 from World Economic Forum in Davos. Awarded a certificate of completion for the Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century Program, 03/2017, Harvard University, John F. Kennedy School of Government, Executive Education.

Christian Schmitz
Founder, PDIE - Purpose Driven Innovation EcosystemBorn and raised in Cologne, Germany, Christian Schmitz studied regional studies with a focus on East Asia and the Japanese language at Duisburg-Essen University, which included a language program in Japan. Upon completing his studies in 1998, Schmitz was offered an internship with Bayer in Japan, and was subsequently offered a position. Schmitz moved on in 2003 and took up various corporate and marketing roles with Schwarzkopf, BASF, Henkel Japan and Hulsta Japan, eventually becoming president at Emmi Ultrasonic Japan in 2014. In 2009, Schmitz founded his own boutique consultancy, Aventa, and then the PDIE Group in 2019. Schmitz became the chief marketing officer and head of Asia at DCX in March 2021. PDIE became an official Earthshot nominator in 2020. Schmitz began acting as a senior adviser to the Future Food Institute in March 2022, using his experience to contribute to its holistic approach to planetary health.

General Manager, TBMAfter joining the strategy group of Accenture Japan in 2008, he experienced a wide range of projects such as medium-term plan formulation for manufacturing clients, new market entry strategy formulation, sales reform, and digital transformation. In 2017, he joined TBM Co., Ltd., Ltd. and was involved in overseas expansion and application development. In 2018, he was involved in the grouping of Bioworks Co., Ltd. and became a director. In 2021, he was involved in a capital and business alliance with the SK Group and assumed the position of director of SK TBMGEOSTONE, a joint venture with the SK Group.
