Mr. Haipeng Jing | 景海鹏

Chinese Astronaut | 中国航天员

Jing Haipeng, a native of Yuncheng, Shanxi Province, born in 1966, is a distinguished astronaut, with a doctorate degree. He is a representative of the 19th CPC National Congress. A first-class pilot of the Air Force, he was selected as one of China’s first batch of astronauts in 1998, and served as the captain of the astronaut brigade and deputy commander of the manned spaceflight project. He was awarded second-class merit once, third-class merit once, and won the special prize and first-class prize for national scientific and technological progress. In 2008, he was awarded the honorary title of “Heroic Astronaut” by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission for serving the Shenzhou VII mission, and was also awarded the Medal of Aerospace Merit. In 2012, he carried out the Shenzhou IX mission and served as the commander, and was awarded the Second Class Spaceflight Medal of Merit by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission. In 2016, he served the Shenzhou XI mission as the commander, and was awarded the First Class Spaceflight Medal of Merit by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council and the Central Military Commission. In 2017, he was awarded the “Order of August 1” by the Central Military Commission. In 2018, he was awarded the title of “Reform Pioneer” by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and the “Reform Pioneer” Medal. In 2021, he was awarded the Eighth National Model of Dedication, and in 2023, he served the mission of Shenzhou XVI as the commander-in-chief, and was awarded the “Medal of Spaceflight Merit of the Extraordinary Grade” by the CPC Central Committee, the State Council and the Central Military Commission.

景海鹏,山西运城人。1966年出生,特级航天员,博士学位。党的十九大代表。空军一级飞行员。1998年入选中国首批航天员,曾任航天员大队大队长,载人航天工程副总指挥。荣立二等功1次,三等功1次,荣获国家科学技术进步特等奖、一等奖各一次。2008年,执行神舟七号任务,被中共中央、国务院、中央军委授予“英雄航天员”荣誉称号,并颁发“航天功勋奖章”。2012年,执行神舟九号任务并担任指令长,被中共中央、国务院、中央军委授予“二级航天功勋奖章”。2016年执行神舟十一号任务并担任指令长,被中共中央、国务院、中央军委授予“一级航天功勋奖章”。2017年,被中央军委授予“八一勋章”。2018年,被中共中央、国务院授予“改革先锋”称号,并授予“改革先锋”奖章。2021年,被评为第八届全国敬业奉献道德模范。2023年,执行神舟十六号任务并担任指令长,中共中央、国务院、中央军委颁发“特级航天功勋奖章”。

 

Mr. Claude Nicollier

Swiss Astronaut | 瑞士航天员

Claude Nicollier, born in Vevey, Switzerland, in 1944, is an astrophysicist, pilot, and former astronaut. He studied physics in Lausanne and astrophysics in Geneva, and trained as a Swiss Air Force pilot, serving from 1966 to 2004. Nicollier also worked as a First Officer with SWISSAIR from 1974 to 1976. In 1978, he was selected as part of the first group of astronauts for the European Space Agency (ESA), later joining NASA’s Johnson Space Center for Space Shuttle training. Nicollier flew on four Shuttle missions between 1992 and 1999, including two interventions on the Hubble Space Telescope. During his last mission in December 1999, he completed a spacewalk of over 8 hours to install equipment on the telescope, totaling over 1,000 hours in space.

Currently, Nicollier works at Space Innovation in Lausanne and is an honorary professor at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL), teaching a Masters course on space mission design. He is also a member of the Federal Commission for Space Affairs, advising the Swiss government on space policy, and occasionally serves as an advisor to students at EPFL.

Emma Tolley

Associate Professor, Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne EPFL | 洛桑联邦理工学院,副教授

Emma Tolley is an Assistant Professor at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). She received her Bachelor’s degree in Physics from MIT in 2011 and her PhD in Physics at Harvard University in 2016. Her research includes leveraging data science techniques for the efficient, automated, and reliable computation and analysis of the Big Data produced by large scientific infrastructures such as CERN and the upcoming Square Kilometer Array Observatory.

ChengZe Liu | 刘成则

Assistant Researcher, Department of Astronomy, Shanghai Jiaotong University |上海交通大学天文学系助理研究员

Dr. Liu Chengze is an Associate Researcher at the School of Physics and Astronomy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He earned his Ph.D. from the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory in 2009 and completed postdoctoral studies at Peking University. He joined SJTU in 2011. His research focuses on galaxy formation and evolution, extragalactic globular cluster systems, and ultra-compact dwarf galaxies. He is actively involved in the Next Generation Virgo Cluster Survey (NGVS), studying globular clusters and ultra-compact dwarf galaxies. Dr. Liu has published extensively in scientific journals and has contributed to studies on light pollution in Shanghai.

刘成泽博士是上海交通大学物理与天文学系的副研究员。他于2009年获得上海天文台的博士学位,并在北京大学完成了博士后研究。2011年,他加入上海交通大学。刘博士的研究领域包括星系形成与演化、星系外球状星团系统和超紧凑矮星系。他积极参与下一代维尔戈星系团调查(NGVS),研究球状星团和超紧凑矮星系。刘博士在科学期刊上发表了大量论文,并参与了上海光污染研究。

Jean-Paul Kneib

Professor, Laboratory of Astrophysics, Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL)| 洛桑联邦理工学院,天体物理实验室教授

Prof. Jean-Paul Kneib holds a Master in space technologies and a Ph.D. in Astrophysics. He has worked at institutions such as the European Space Observatory in Chile, Cambridge, Toulouse, Caltech, and Marseille. Since 2012, he has been at EPFL, where he is the Director of the EPFL Space Center and the Laboratory of Astrophysics. His research focuses on space sustainability and gravitational lensing. He was the principal investigator for the SDSS-IV/eBOSS project and led the construction of a robotic system for the SDSS-V project. He is also the Swiss Science Delegate at the Square Kilometre Array Observatory.

Kexin Duan | 段可忻

Artist & Space Art Payload Consultant | 艺术家与太空艺术有效载荷顾问

Kexin Duan (b. 1996) is an artist and consultant specializing in the integration of art and space exploration. She is dedicated to promoting the application of art in space technologies and works as a consultant for two satellite companies on future payload projects, exploring the intersection of art and satellite payloads. Kexin has collaborated on projects in the fields of space art, offering creative insights to expand the understanding of space for the public. She has contributed to various international exhibitions and is involved in innovative projects that merge technology, art, and the cosmos.

段克欣(1996年出生)是一位艺术家和顾问,专注于艺术与太空探索的结合。她致力于推广艺术在太空技术中的应用,并作为两家卫星公司的顾问,参与未来载荷项目,探索艺术与卫星载荷的融合。段克欣在太空艺术领域的合作项目中,提供创意见解,扩大公众对太空的理解。她参与了多个国际展览,并致力于将技术、艺术与宇宙结合的创新项目。

Iris Long | 龍星如

Artist and Curator | 艺术家与策展人

Iris Long is a writer and independent curator specializing in the intersection of art and science, with a focus on China’s critical infrastructures. As a 2022–2023 Berggruen Fellow and Swissnex Fellow, she explored Switzerland’s art and science scene, visiting institutions like CERN and PSI. Iris co-curated the 2024 “Cosmos Archaeology” exhibition at the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, a collaboration with EPFL and Swissnex in China, blending art and science to inspire audiences. Her work fosters interdisciplinary exchange, bridging art and science while enhancing global collaboration between Switzerland and China.

段克欣是专注于艺术与科学交叉领域的作家和独立策展人,研究重点包括中国的关键基础设施。作为2022-2023年的伯格鲁恩研究员和瑞士科技文化中心研究员,她深入探讨了瑞士的艺术与科学场景,参观了如CERN和PSI等机构。段克欣共同策划了2024年在上海天文馆举办的“宇宙考古学”展览,这是瑞士洛桑联邦理工大学(EPFL)和瑞士科技文化中心在中国的合作项目,旨在通过艺术与科学的融合激发观众的兴趣。她的工作促进了跨学科交流,架起了艺术与科学之间的桥梁,并加强了瑞中两国的全球合作。

Gengxin Xie | 谢更新

Director Academy of Space Science, Chongqing University | 重庆大学空间科学学院院长

Gengxin Xie is the executive deputy director of the Ministry of Education’s Joint Research Centre for Deep Space Exploration, director of the Institute of Advanced Technology at Chongqing University, director of the Chongqing Astronomical Society. He completed his post-doc at UC Berkeley. On top of that, Gengxin Xie is the chief designer of biological science payload onboarding Chang’e-4 mission. He is an independent expert for China’s lunar missions Chang’e-3 and Chang’e-7. He is a member of the expert committee of China’s Mid-and Long-Term Deep Space Exploration Team, a member of the IAA Committee.

谢更新,教育部深空探测联合研究中心常务副主任,重庆大学先进技术研究院院长,美国加州大学伯克莱分校博士后研究。谢更新是中国探月工程嫦娥四号生物科普载荷总设计师,先后担任中国探月工程“嫦娥三号”、”嫦娥七号“独立评估专家、国家中长期深空探测论证组专家,国际宇航学会专委会委员。

Feng Yang | 杨峰

Founder and CEO, Spacety | 杨峰,天仪研究院创始人兼首席执行官

Feng Yang, founder and CEO of Spacety, is a prominent technology entrepreneur recognized under China’s National “10,000 People Program” and an expert in the National Technology Expert database. A graduate of BUAA, he has received numerous awards, including the first prize in the Chunhui Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and recognition as one of China’s “40 Talents Under 40” by Fortune. Since founding Spacety in 2016, he has led the company in completing 19 space missions and launching 31 satellites, including China’s first commercial networking SAR remote sensing satellites, pioneering mass production and commercialization in this field.

杨峰,天仪研究院创始人兼CEO,是中国“万人计划”技术创业人才、科技部国家技术专家数据库专家,长沙市人大代表。毕业于北京航空航天大学,他荣获多个奖项,包括第二届春晖杯创新创业大赛海外留学生组一等奖、中国创新创业大赛湖南赛区冠军、福布斯评选的“中国40位40岁以下人才”、Fast Company评选的“中国100位最具创意商界人士”、《中国商业新闻》评选的“年度杰出青年企业领袖”以及《Robb Report》“年度最佳创业者”。

杨峰于2016年创立天仪研究院,并一直担任CEO。天仪研究院已完成19次太空任务,成功发射31颗卫星,包括中国首批商业化网络化合成孔径雷达遥感卫星——海塞一号、巢湖一号、富成一号和神启卫星。天仪研究院在国内率先实现了商用SAR卫星的批量生产、网络化和在轨商业化。

Huanyuan Shan | 陕欢源

Researcher, Shanghai Observatory | 上海天文台研究员

Dr. Huanyuan Shan is a researcher at the Shanghai Astronomical Observatory (SHAO) and a doctoral supervisor. He is a fellow of the National High-Level Young Talent Program, the Chinese Academy of Sciences 100 Talents Programme, and a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. His research primarily focuses on cosmology, including weak and strong gravitational lensing. Dr. Shan obtained his Ph.D. from the National Astronomical Observatories of China in 2008 and has held postdoctoral positions at institutions such as Peking University, EPFL, and the University of Bonn. He joined SHAO in 2018 and has contributed significantly to cosmological studies, including the S8 tension and extragalactic radio sky models.

单焕元博士是上海天文台的研究员和博士生导师。他是国家高层次青年人才计划、中国科学院“百人计划”及玛丽·居里奖学金获得者。单博士的研究主要集中在宇宙学,特别是弱引力透镜和强引力透镜方面。2008年,他获得中国国家天文台的博士学位,曾在北京大学、瑞士洛桑联邦理工大学(EPFL)和波恩大学等机构从事博士后研究。2018年,他加入上海天文台,且在宇宙学研究方面做出了重要贡献,包括S8张力和外星系无线电天空模型等。

Bo Jiang | 江波

Writer, Science Fiction | 科幻作家

A prominent representative of the new generation of Chinese science fiction writers, he is the Vice President of the World Chinese Science Fiction Association and a council member of the China Science Writers Association. Born in 1978, he published his first work in 2003. To date, he has written over sixty short and medium-length science fiction stories and nine novels, with a total word count exceeding 3.6 million. His notable works include the “Heart of the Galaxy” trilogy, “Gate of the Machines”, and “On the Razor’s Edge.” His works have received numerous accolades, including the Chinese Science Fiction Nebula Award and the Galaxy Award.

作为中国新一代科幻作家的杰出代表,他是世界华人科幻协会副主席以及中国科普作家协会理事。1978年出生,他于2003年发表了第一部作品。截至目前,他已创作了超过六十篇中短篇科幻小说和九部小说,总字数超过360万字。他的代表作品包括《银河之心》三部曲、《机器之门》和《刀锋边缘》。他的作品获得了众多奖项,包括中国科幻银河奖和银河奖。

Wenwen Zuo | 左文文

Associate Researcher | 副研究员

Wenwen Zuo, PhD, associate research from Shanghai Astronomical Observatory, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Coordinator of the East Aisa Regional Office of IAU Office of Astronomy for Development (EA-ROAD).

Her main research interests include time-domain studies of active galactic nuclei, black hole growth, search for Intermediate-Mass Black Holes, and properties studies. She has published more than 20 SCI articles. She actively carry out science communication work, starting from the construction of multi-level popular science education resources and the construction of scientific and technological innovation and education and training exchange platforms, aiming to promote the improvement of astronomy science popularization education.

She has authored the book “Astronomy Lessons for Children”, participated in the creation of the book “Tianwen”, and jointly translated the book “COSMOS” and “Why to Mars”. She is the creator of the “Exploring Astronomy” series of astronomy courses and the “Wow Astronomy” astronomy series of short videos. She has written and translated nearly 100 popular science articles; presenting the progress of front-line scientific research with science and art exhibitions. She is also deeply involved in the work of the practice of astronomy science and technology innovation for teenagers.

左文文,天体物理博士,上海天文台副研究员,国际天文学联合会天文促发展办公室(IAU OAD)东亚区域办公室协调人。主要研究兴趣:类星体的时域研究、黑洞成长、中等质量黑洞的搜寻及性质研究。曾在天体物理方向发表SCI文章20余篇;积极开展科学传播工作,从多层次科普教育资源建设和搭建科创和教育培训交流平台着手,旨在促进天文科普教育水平的提升。她创作了书籍《给孩子的天文课》,参与创作书籍《天问》,共同翻译书籍《宇宙观》、《为什么去火星》;主创《探索天文》系列天文课程和《哇天文》天文系列短视频创作;创作和翻译科普文章近百篇;以科艺展览呈现一线科研进展等;深度参与青少年天文学科创实践工作指导。

China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC)| 中国科学技术交流中心

 

Established in 1982 and affiliated with the Ministry of Science and Technology, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC) promotes collaboration between China’s research and industrial sectors and their international counterparts. Its mission supports China’s socio-economic development and fosters global relations.

CSTEC focuses on developing a resource exchange platform, managing the Program on Major International S&T Cooperation Projects (PISTC), introducing foreign expertise, organizing events, and facilitating S&T cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.

Over the past 24 years, CSTEC has built ties with over 130 organizations in more than 30 countries, including the EU, Japan, and regions like Hong Kong and Taiwan, playing a key role in international S&T cooperation.
