The World Congress of Architects UIA21 was held in Rio de Janeiro between the 18th and 22nd of July 2021 and the Swissnex team organised some events that were part of the congress. Also, Rio has been nominated the world capital of architecture by UNESCO, opening opportunities and possibilities to strengthen Swissnex initiatives on architecture and urbanism between researchers, artists, designers, architects, and innovators from Switzerland and Brazil.

The program offers an immersion for research and experimentation, meant for artists scientists interested in developing their work in the urban environment of Rio de Janeiro. The program will held between 16 May and 4 June 2022, in its first edition, by the Goethe-Institut in Rio de Janeiro, the Museum of Tomorrow, Swissnex in Brazil and Pro Helvetia South America.
