Nature-based Solutions (NbS) are essential to achieving international climate goals while delivering benefits for ecosystems and communities. However, mobilizing finance for NbS remains a significant challenge due to gaps in early-stage project development, investment-readiness, and financing mechanisms.
Swissnex, Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB), IUCN Blue Natural Capital, and rrreefs present an exclusive event bringing together impact investors, private sector leaders, philanthropies, and public sector actors to address the urgent need for investments in ocean resilience, showcasing how innovative solutions are not only restoring marine ecosystems but also unlocking high-impact investment opportunities in ocean resilience and climate adaptation.
Join us at Swissnex’s Planetary Embassy for the global premier of a new short documentary “Reef by Reef” on rrreefs’ holistic reef regeneration approach, produced by rrreefs, Swissnex, and GIB, followed by an expert panel discussion, and a networking reception.
The event will underscore the connection between resilient economies and resilient ecosystems, highlighting the business case for investing in biodiversity and nature-based solutions, and ocean conservation’s potential as a strategic investment. The conversation will also explore challenges and opportunities in the NbS space, from bridging the gap between philanthropy and private sector funding to innovative financial models for marine conservation.
