Susan Cholette
Professor of Decision Sciences & YF Chang Endowed Professor in International Business at the Lam Family College of Business at the San Francisco State UniversitySusan Cholette is a Professor of Decision Sciences and the YF Chang Endowed Professor in International Business at the Lam Family College of Business at San Francisco State University. She earned her Ph.D. in Operations Research at Stanford University and her B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering at Princeton University. Her research focuses on supply chain efficiency and sustainability, especially for the food and beverage sectors.

Chloé F. Smith
Climate Change Research Fellow & Swiss Lawyer at UC Berkeley, School of Law, Center for Law, Energy and the EnvironmentFascinated by the crossovers between climate change, sustainability and human rights, Chloé is currently a Research Fellow at the Center for Law, Energy and the Environment at UC Berkeley. Chloé has a background as a Swiss litigator in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud. In this role she represented individuals, companies and local governments before the courts, including advising start-ups. This followed a short period in the sustainability legal team of a large Swiss multinational company. Chloé’s most recent legal work has involved working on an environmental health and human rights project regarding toxic contaminated sites on indigenous land in Alaska. Chloé’s current research at Berkeley focuses on climate change issues and solutions, with an emphasis on heavy-duty truck zero-emission truck policy and policy on scaling the production of e-fuels powered by renewable energy for aviation and/or maritime sectors in California.

Brogan Miller
Founder, Engineering Doula, and member of the informal collective E2E EngineeringAs an Engineering Doula for early-stage hardware start-ups, Brogan guides entrepreneurs from initial concept through to company formation. His expertise spans product management, design, and manufacturing processes.
With extensive experience in start-up environments, he has served as an early employee across multiple ventures, holding positions ranging from second to fortieth hire. His accomplishments include the successful launch of two primary products and eight accompanying accessories, the design of two sophisticated electromechanical culinary appliances, extensive experience in Asian sourcing and manufacturing operations, and the establishment of a manufacturing facility in San Francisco. His portfolio encompasses various sectors, including consumer goods, medical devices, food technology, and sustainable engineering solutions.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Brogan serves as a lecturer at Stanford University, where he mentors senior product design engineering students through the process of transforming concepts into market-ready products.
