AI and Society
Swissnex in Japan is thrilled to share the success of our recent event, the "Swiss-Osaka AI Innovation Exchange: Enhancing Product Development with AI," which took place on June 26th, 2023. We were honored to welcome a sabbatical from Zurich University of Applied Sciences, Mr. Umut Demiriz who shared his invaluable insights and experiences from his research during his 2-month stay in Japan. In addition, we had the pleasure of hosting two distinguished Japanese experts: Prof. Koichi Kise and Prof. Shoya Ishimaru from Osaka Metropolitan University. These experts provided a wealth of knowledge from both Swiss and Japanese perspectives, with a focus on both research and practical applications. We received lively and engaging questions from the audience, which allowed us to delve deeper into utilizing AI in the industry. I hope this event provided a platform for us to further contemplate the common challenges faced by both Switzerland and Japan. Together, we can shape a future where AI transforms industries and enhances the way we live and work.
