Facing Midosuji, the Champs Elysees of Osaka, the Swissnex Window offers a glimpse into Swiss ingenuity and excellence.
Swissnex Window #13, From Heidi to High Tech, showcased Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem through a curated startup gallery, bringing together ten pioneering ventures shaping the industries of tomorrow. From deep tech to sustainable solutions, the exhibition highlighted how Swiss startups translate research and creativity into real-world impact.
Across the space, visitors moved between emerging ventures and established success stories, from visual storytelling introducing startups such as AckTao (education tech), AVAtronics (consumer tech), BeEmotion.ai (human-machine interactions), DuoKey (cybersecurity), ESG Explorer (clean tech), Jaipur Robotics (AI & robotics), Kido Dynamics (smart cities), NovoViz (AI & robotics), REM Analytics (life sciences), and REOR20 (clean tech), reflecting the breadth and diversity of Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem, to displays tracing the journeys of Swiss unicorns such as On, GetYourGuide and more. The exhibition also invited visitors to engage more directly with innovation through interactive elements, including a companion robot designed to create an emotional connection through simple, responsive behaviors.
At the intersection of entrepreneurship and global collaboration, the exhibition offered a glimpse into Switzerland’s innovation ecosystem, fostering dialogue and new connections between Switzerland and Japan.
The exhibition concluded on a high note, as its final visitors were participants of the Swiss startup pitch event held on the occasion of SusHi Tech 2026, bridging the exhibition with a live innovation platform. Bringing together ten Swiss startups and key actors from Japan’s innovation ecosystem, the event fostered exchange through startup pitches and direct engagement between founders and ecosystem actors. The momentum continued in Tokyo, where the startups were showcased at the SwissTech Pavilion at SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026, further expanding Swiss–Japanese collaboration in innovation.
Switzerland returns to SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 with a focused contribution to one of today’s defining questions: how can technology shape more resilient, efficient, and livable cities?
From August 13th to 29th, Swissnex in Japan presented Swissnex Window #9: Swiss Horizons Beyond Earth, an interplanetary journey through four pioneering space missions where Switzerland and Japan play a leading scientific role.
Throughout June 2025, Swissnex in Japan presented the Swissnex Window #7: Connected Human exhibition, offering a glimpse into how cutting-edge technologies from Switzerland are reshaping what it means to be human: physically, mentally, and socially.
