About Brazil

With a 21.7% year-over-year expansion in its startup ecosystem between 2024 and 2025 (Liga Ventures, 2025), Brazil stands as Latin America’s most vibrant hub for innovation. The country offers ideal conditions for market validation, pilot implementation, and strategic partnerships across fields such as sustainability, digitalization, new materials, clean energy, health, and agriculture.

Brazil is Switzerland’s largest export destination in Latin America, with CHF 2.8 billion in goods traded in 2023 (FDFA, 2024), including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, machinery, and precision instruments. This strong bilateral relationship creates favorable conditions for Swiss startups looking to expand into the region.

Southeast: industry 4.0, finance, health, mobility/logistics and agriculture

  2. 0 2

South: software & SaaS, smart cities, agriculture and industrial automation

  4. 0 4

North: bioeconomy, circular economy and climate technologies

  5. 0 5

    Central-West: agriculture, biotechnology and GovTech

What to expect from the Startup Camps

There are two types of internationalization camps for Swiss startups:

  • Market Validation Camp | A one-month program to test your business idea on-site and develop a concrete market entry strategy.
  • Market Entry Camp | A three-month program to accelerate your market entry and create the foundations for long-term presence.

Startups may choose São Paulo or Rio de Janeiro as their base and coordinate an appropriate start date with Swissnex. Each camp provides:

  • Tailored support from Swissnex Brazil
  • A personalized agenda with virtual and in-person meetings
  • A stipend to support travel to the selected location
  • Access to Swissnex’s offices as a home base
  • Opportunities to schedule visits around major conferences or join sector-specific cohorts
  • Full access to Swissnex’s network and ongoing updates on ecosystem events

During the program, startups will gain a deep dive into the Brazilian innovation landscape, build connections with key stakeholders, and explore partnerships with companies, research institutions, and government actors.

Who can apply?
