As part of the Planetary Embassy during the UN climate summit COP30 in Belém, Swissnex invites you for a guided tour of the exhibition A River Does Not Exist Alone, presented by leading Brazilian cultural center Instituto Tomie Ohtake in the zoo and botanical park of the Goeldi Musem.
Over the course of 40 minutes, visitors will be led through the park by educators from Instituto Tomie Ohtake on a journey that interweaves observation, conversation, and shared perception, exploring the artworks and their connections to territory, nature, and collective memory.
The experience will culminate in a 20-minute creative activation, inviting participants to experiment with materials, words, or movements inspired by the artworks, creating a symbolic gesture of relationship with the flows and interdependencies proposed by the exhibition. Turning the act of viewing into a space of dialogue, sensitivity, and collective creation, this guided tour will deepen the connection between art, environment, and community, echoing the rhythms of the surrounding Amazon.
Guests will meet at the Planetary Embassy pavilion, where they will also be able to discover Swissnex’s exhibition Imagining Planetary Diplomacy.
From November 9 to 21, 2025, the Planetary Embassy comes to life in Belém, Brazil, on the margins of the UN climate summit COP30. Part of a series of pop-up experiences across the global Swissnex network, this edition is hosted in the zoobotanical gardens of the Goeldi Museum, a setting that blends the Amazon's biodiversity, science, ancestral wisdom, and Swiss legacy.
