AIT Brazil 11th Edition: All You Need to Know

The Academia–Industry Training (AIT) Brazil connects researcher-entrepreneurs from Switzerland and Brazil, turning cutting-edge research into innovations ready for the market. Now in its 11th edition, AIT Brazil has supported more than 200 participants over the past 11 years, helping them refine their projects and strengthen their startups.

Each edition of the program takes place in two phases, with one week in Brazil and another in Switzerland. With 10 Brazilian and 8 Swiss startups participating this year, the AIT Camp week in Brazil will offer a deep dive into the country’s startup and innovation ecosystem.

Taking place from September 8 to 12, the camp will feature expert sessions on doing business in Brazil, the local DeepTech landscape, best practices in entrepreneurship, pitching to investors, and opportunities for science-based startups. The Swiss-Brazilian delegation will also meet key players, stakeholders and potential partners, fostering international collaboration and encouraging everyone involved to think beyond borders.

The Program is powered by Swissnex in Brazil, the Leading House Latin America (University of St.Gallen), the Brazilian Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MCTI), and the Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).

Swiss startups in this edition are innovating in sectors such as advanced materials, medtech, industrial digitalization, agritech, foodtech and AI for the biopharma industry. Their solutions address global challenges from sustainable manufacturing and food security to improved healthcare and climate resilience. Meet the participants.
