Bridging the gap

We're catalysing collaborations, despite the pandemic situation. Starting off with virtual collaborations between Amity University and Lucerne School of Business.

Lucerne School of Business and Amity University sign an MoU

“Post COVID-19, sustainability needs to be reconsidered by travellers and the tourism industry alike, following the framework of SDGs”, observed Urs Wagenseil, Co-Head of the Competence Center for Tourism, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU). Prof. Wagenseil was one of the speakers in the international experts panel for an exclusive webinar organised by the Amity University – on the ‘Revival of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Post COVID-19’. This digital collaboration is only the beginning. There are many such joint projects in the pipeline, outlined in the Memorandum of Understanding between these universities. Facilitated by Swissnex, a thorough research and preparation in matching synergies ensured the completion of formalities in a month’s time.

“We look forward to cooperating at all levels with Amity, from student exchange to applied research. Their excellent reputation in India and extensive network of international campuses make them a key partner in our international network, particularly in activities relating to teaching and research in business innovation and information technology,” reflected Oliver Kessler, co-head of International Office at LSoB – Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – on this collaboration.

Prateek Deka of International Relations, Amity Education Group added, “we are looking forward to knowledge exchange through faculty interactions, research, webinars, etc. We will promote student and faculty mobility programs at a later time, with presence on reciprocal basis at each other’s campus, and more.”
