Startup Camp India – SpaceTech 2026

Swiss startups working on space technologies, satellite applications and the real-world uses of satellite data can apply.

Overview

The Startup Camp India – SpaceTech 2026 aims to connect Swiss startups working on space technologies, satellite applications and the real-world uses of satellite data with India’s growing space ecosystem. The programme offers an opportunity to validate technologies, build strategic partnerships and explore commercial growth in one of the most dynamic and rapidly opening space markets.

What Makes India Stand Out?

India’s space sector has rapidly evolved from a development-driven programme into a globally competitive and commercial ecosystem. Backed by strong government support and increasing private sector participation, the sector is projected to reach USD 44 billion by 2033, fuelled by growth in satellite services, launch capabilities and real-world uses of satellite data. Institutions such as the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), alongside regulatory enablement from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (IN-SPACe), are opening the sector to private innovation and international collaboration.

India is home to a rapidly expanding base of spacetech startups, research institutions and aerospace manufacturers, offering:

  • Cost-effective satellite development and launch opportunities
  • Advanced ground station infrastructure and data analytics capabilities
  • Strong expertise in Earth observation, geospatial intelligence and communication technologies

Renowned for its frugal engineering and rapid prototyping capabilities, India provides an ideal environment to co-develop, test and scale space-based solutions. Swiss startups can leverage this ecosystem to build applications across satellite imagery analytics, climate monitoring, IoT connectivity and navigation systems. The recent Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) between Switzerland and India further lowers entry barriers, paving the way for Swiss innovations to gain traction in India and scale globally.
