Overview
HealthTech India 2027 aims to connect Swiss startups in lifesciences, medtech and digital health with India’s rapidly growing healthcare ecosystem. This programme offers a unique opportunity to validate products, foster partnerships and explore business growth in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing healthcare markets. Startup Camp is powered by Innosuisse and managed by Swissnex.
What makes India stand out?
The country’s healthcare ecosystem was valued at around USD 300 billion in FY25 and is projected to reach USD 700 billion by 2030. With over 70,000 hospitals and a robust healthtech ecosystem of 10,000+ startups in diagnostics, digital health, medtech and AI based solutions, the country provides access to diverse patient populations, real-world testing environments and opportunity for international collaboration.
Known as the “Contract Research Organization (CRO) of the world”, India enables faster, cost-effective R&D and clinical validation. Swiss startups can tap into this ecosystem to develop precision diagnostics across the spectrum—from ultra-affordable tools for mass use to high-end solutions for personalised care. Its deep clinical infrastructure and adaptive regulatory pathways support rapid prototyping, validation and scaling.
The recent Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) between Switzerland and India further lowers entry barriers, paving the way for Swiss innovations to gain traction in India and scale globally.
