Global Science Film Festival Screening

With the theme of “Reconnecting Science and Society”, the 5th Global Science Film Festival (GSFF) brings an array of great science films for the global audience, starting March 31, 2023. As a global partner, the Swissnex network will screen select films to international audiences in China, India, and Japan.

Founded by the Swiss Science Film Academy, the Global Science Film Festival brings together scientists and filmmakers who share one passion: “science communication through films”. This year, the simultaneous screening will feature two short films – Autosaurus Rex and  CaSSIS.Mars Demystified and one documentary film – Expedition Deep Into The Glacier.

Join us on March 31, 2023 for the screening followed by an engaging panel discussion on ‘Making science accessible to the broad public’. Dr Anil Kulkarni, Climate Scientist at the Divecha Center for Climate Change, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore, will be joining us at Swissnex in India and also, share his expertise at the global panel.

In India, as part of celebrating the 75 years of Indo-Swiss friendship, the three science films will be screened across Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

In Bengaluru, Swissnex has partnered with Bengaluru Sustainability Forum and Science Gallery, who also have shared interest in bridging the gap between science and society.

Due to limited seating, attendance is by invitation only. Please register at the earliest and we will confirm participation.
