Swiss startups showcase innovative solutions at Tech G 2023

From October 12 to 14, six Swiss startups took center stage with their innovative solutions at the Shanghai International Consumer Electronics Show (Tech G) 2023, providing them with a platform to connect with potential clients and partners while demonstrating Switzerland’s innovation prowess.

At Shanghai International Consumer Electronics Show (Tech G) 2023 from October 12 to 14, AVAtronics, Fixposition, Flyability, Sensoryx, Sphere, and Swiss Terahertz showcased their innovative solutions in IoT, security & privacy, AR, VR, XR, audio & video. The swisstech pavilion at Tech G 2023 served as a prominent stage for these startups to present their ideas to a diverse audience of industry experts and investors. Additionally, the startups were invited to participate in Tech G matchmaking sessions and Innovation Roadshows, facilitating negotiations with distributors and channel partners.

To wrap up their first day at Tech G, the startup representatives took to the stage at Swiss Startup Night on the evening of October 12 to pitch their solutions and engage in face-to-face discussions with an audience of industry experts. The event, organized in collaboration with XNode, concluded with a networking session allowing for in-depth discussions on potential business collaborations.

On the next day, Sensoryx, a Zurich-based startup that provides high-accuracy tracking for XR solutions, was bestowed the Great Tech Award on the main stage. This recognition highlights the company’s dedication to developing tech products that are set to shape the future of consumer experiences. Sensoryx unveiled their revolutionary pencil for spatial computing and XR dubbed “馬良一代” in Chinese, which was lauded by multiple headset manufacturers and software providers for its technical achievements.

“Our experience with Tech G was truly exceptional. We made interesting connections with high potential, not only with service providers but also with some end users of the technology.” Finn Møller, the Design Engineer of the EPFL spin-off AVAtronics specializing in advanced noise cancellation technology, shared his takeaways from the tech expo.

“We were glad to host these ambitious, tech-savvy entrepreneurs at our swisstech pavilion, who come from Switzerland’s world-class education, research and innovation ecosystem” said Philippe Roesle, CEO of Swissnex in China, “it gives them quick access to the massive Chinese market and to connect with potential partners, manufacturers and customers.”
