Info & ticketsAs part of the Planetary Embassy in Belém during the UN Climate Summit COP30, Swissnex invites you to a multisensory encounter with the Amazon rainforest. Organized in collaboration with Swiss and Brazilian startups Tekohá, Synature, and Amazomel, as well as the Leading House Latin America at the University of St. Gallen, this event will bring together innovation and ancestral knowledge, revealing the pulse of a future regenerative bioeconomy through sound, taste, and touch.
Feel the Forest is a continuation of nexBio Amazonia, a pioneering bioeconomy program held annually in the Amazon region, powered by Swissnex in Brazil, the Leading House Latin America (University of St. Gallen), and the Brazilian National Council of State Funding Agencies (CONFAP).
Bio
Danielle Amaral is a food engineer, researcher, and entrepreneur, and the founder of Tekohá, a startup producing vegan cosmetics and makeup formulated with Amazonian bioactives. Her work combines science, innovation, and socio-environmental impact, fostering income generation and women’s empowerment in extractivist communities across the Amazon. With a career dedicated to the Amazonian bioeconomy, Danielle develops solutions that highlight regional biodiversity and promote a conscious and sustainable approach to beauty.

Dieter Bratschi is a Swiss forest engineer and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience at the intersection of environmental innovation and sustainable development. Born in Bern, Switzerland, in 1971, he holds a Master’s degree in Forest Engineering from ETH Zurich, complemented by studies in Risk & Safety Management, Business Administration at UC Berkeley, and Geographic Information Systems. Dieter founded Adaptagis GmbH, a geomarketing and analytics consultancy serving leading Swiss institutions, and later Content-Experts, focused on digital information management. A longtime advocate for sustainable economies in the Amazon, he co-founded the NTFP Foundation to promote non-timber forest products and now leads initiatives such as Amazomel, advancing regenerative honey production across Amazonian communities.

Ian Mehli is the Lead Ecologist at Synature, a startup working to make animal communication more understandable. Synature uses smart microphones to record animal sounds and artificial intelligence to translate them into actionable insights across nature, agriculture, and aquaculture, all simply by listening. Ian studied Biology at the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich, bringing ecological expertise to Synature’s interdisciplinary team. A lifelong wildlife enthusiast, he is particularly fascinated by the vast amount of information animals convey through sound.

Vincent Neumann is the Head of Programs at Swissnex in Brazil, where he leads the strategic development and execution of initiatives that foster collaboration between the Swiss and Brazilian innovation ecosystems. He oversees projects in biodiversity, sustainability, and entrepreneurship, advancing international partnerships that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through joint efforts in innovation, academia, and education.Vincent holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen. Brazil became the epicenter of his personal and professional journey when he began working for a local NGO in 2019, later writing his final thesis in and about the country.
From November 9 to 21, 2025, the Planetary Embassy comes to life in Belém, Brazil, on the margins of the UN climate summit COP30. Part of a series of pop-up experiences across the global Swissnex network, this edition is hosted in the zoobotanical gardens of the Goeldi Museum, a setting that blends the Amazon's biodiversity, science, ancestral wisdom, and Swiss legacy.
