The Challenge will have national and international mentors allocated to help develop the Startups — an excellent opportunity for Swiss food and agritech startups to open new doors and start activities in Brazil.
The selection process is already happening, with its first call open until August 17, 2022, when starts the second call. The final will have five startups selected per category by September 30.
The main goal is to identify startups with disruptive initiatives focusing on food loss in and out of the field.
- In the field: the Challenge is looking for startups with initiatives in digital agriculture, crop management, biofertilizers, and transportation/storage.
- Out of the field: startups that reduce food waste and develop digital solutions and technologies that help improve efficiency along the distribution chain and smart packaging
The Challenge ends on October 16 at World Food Day to celebrate the date of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization’s foundation in 1945
The prize for each winner will be BRL 5,000.00 (five thousand reais) in credit for a trip to visit knowledge spaces related to the category. The organizing committee and the startup will define the place to be seen.
