As part of the Planetary Embassy during the UN climate summit COP30 in Belém, Instituto Ekos Brasil and the University of St.Gallen (HSG), in partnership with Swissnex and the Embassy of Switzerland in Brazil, invite you to an interactive workshop to co-create the curriculum of a new training program: the Swiss-Brazilian Academy for Good Corporate Practices for People, the Environment, and the Climate.
The workshop builds on insights gathered through a survey conducted by Instituto Ekos and HSG on sustainable corporate practices. Together, we will identify shared challenges, successful strategies, and lessons learned, with the goal of strengthening sustainability performance and enabling the replication of best practices through the Swiss-Brazilian Academy.
Bio
Ana Cristina Moeri is a Swiss-Brazilian geographer with a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Zurich. She is President of Instituto Ekos Brasil, a non-profit organization established in 2001 that promotes biodiversity conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainable development. With nearly two decades of experience in environmental management and the carbon market, Ana leads initiatives that connect companies, governments, and communities to implement high-integrity climate solutions. She coordinates the Compromisso com o Clima platform, which engages major corporations in supporting carbon projects. Ana also serves as Vice-President of the Swiss-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, where she leads the sustainability agenda and strengthens bilateral cooperation between Brazil and Switzerland on climate and environmental issues.
Bio
Vanessa Boanada Fuchs is the Director of the St.Gallen Institute of Management in Latin America, and Adjunct Professor of International Development and Sustainability at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and a visiting professor at EAESP-FGV. She also directs the Swiss Leading House for the Latin America region, which funds research and innovation cooperation between Switzerland and Latin America. Vanessa’s research and teaching interests relate to the socio-environmental dimensions of development projects, including stakeholder engagement. She also focuses on decolonial approaches and the social control of on-the-ground practices of rights and policies. Vanessa studied Law and International Relations in Brazil (PUC-Rio) and obtained her PhD in International Development Studies at the Graduate Institute in Geneva (IHEID).
From November 9 to 21, 2025, the Planetary Embassy comes to life in Belém, Brazil, on the margins of the UN climate summit COP30. Part of a series of pop-up experiences across the global Swissnex network, this edition is hosted in the zoobotanical gardens of the Goeldi Museum, a setting that blends the Amazon's biodiversity, science, ancestral wisdom, and Swiss legacy.
