Leading House Asia

Mandated by Switzerland’s State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI), ETH Zurich is in charge of promoting and fostering scientific cooperation with key institutions in the East and South East Asian region, including Japan, for the funding period 2021–2024. The funding instruments within the programme are open to researchers of all Swiss universities, universities of applied sciences and research institutes.

The Swiss Government provides Excellence Scholarships for outstanding young Japanese researchers and artists. The call for the 2024-2025 academic year is currently open for applications and will be closed on November 24, 2023.

research.swiss is a centralised platform showcasing scientific and technological cooperation opportunities between Switzerland and the rest of the world. Launched by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) in collaboration with Swissnex, the new platform aims to facilitate collaboration in research and innovation by providing researchers, higher education institutions and innovators with a unique overview of the most important funding instruments, calls for joint research projects, and mobility programmes.
