En tant que chef/fe de l’unité Réseau swissnex, vous êtes responsable de la gestion et du développement du réseau international suisse chargé de tisser des liens dans les domaines de la formation, de la recherche et de l’innovation avec des partenaires situés dans les régions les plus innovantes du monde. En collaboration avec les sections scientifiques et les conseillers scientifiques auprès des ambassades de Suisse, vous renforcez la position de la Suisse en tant que pôle mondial de l’innovation et contribuez activement à atteindre les objectifs de la Stratégie internationale de la Suisse dans le domaine de la formation, de la recherche et de l’innovation

Vos tâches

  • Assumer la responsabilité au niveau stratégique du développement du réseau extérieur
  • Assumer la responsabilité, à l’échelon de l’unité, des questions liées au budget, aux finances, au controlling et au personnel, conventions de prestations avec les services extérieurs comprises
  • Exercer des tâches de coordination interne au niveau du SEFRI et de la Confédération
  • Assurer la visibilité de swissnex en Suisse
  • Renforcer la position de pointe de la Suisse en tant que pôle de recherche et d’innovation

Votre profil

  • Diplôme d’une haute école (niveau master)
  • Très bonne connaissance du paysage FRI suisse
  • Expérience concluante de la conduite et de la gestion (idéalement au sein de swissnex, compétences sociales interculturelles), expérience du travail à l’étranger
  • Excellentes connaissances de deux langues officielles, ainsi que de l’anglais
  • Capacités d’analyse ainsi que compréhension des enjeux politiques et pensée stratégique, résistance au stress et force de persuasion

Junior Project Manager Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Swissnex in China

Swissnex in China is the Science Consulate of Switzerland in China. As part of the Swissnex global network, we connect Switzerland, China and the world in science, research, education and innovation. Our mission is to support the outreach and active engagement of our partners in the international exchange of knowledge, ideas and talent. The five main Swissnex locations are established in some of the world’s most innovative regions: Boston, Brazil, China, India and San Francisco. Swissnex is an initiative of the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation of Switzerland and is part of the Swiss Confederation’s network abroad managed by the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

As Junior Project Manager at Swissnex in China, you will act as a connector between people and ideas. You will prepare, develop, execute and post-process activities and events in the exciting world of startups, innovation, and technology. This unique opportunity will allow you to take a deep dive into emerging trends while gaining real-world experience at an official representation of Switzerland in one of the most dynamic regions of the world. We are looking for a bright, self-driven and ambitious team player with exceptional organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate can work across disciplines, can embrace and lead change, and is ready to help us bring Swiss excellence to the next level. You will be joining a dynamic and supportive team and working in an international, creative, and collaborative environment at our Shanghai office.

Main Responsibilities

• Event and Project Management: Plan, execute and post-process in-house and external activities related to science, technology, and innovation (events, webinars, conferences, study trips, workshops, trade fairs, etc.), including logistics, fundraising, and editing of reports and blogs
• Startup Relations: Promotion of our startup programs and building rapport and follow-up with Swiss startups and entrepreneurs (including collection of success stories and testimonials)
• Communications: Project-related and general communications
• Research: Identify trends and developments in science, technology, and innovation; edit reports
• Networking: Cultivate and develop a network of partners and stakeholders. Attend relevant events and conferences.
• Other duties as assigned (e.g., support the team with special events and delegation visits)

Requirements

• Chinese citizenship
• Bachelor or master’s students and recent graduates, preferably from a Swiss university or university of applied sciences
• Excellent written and oral command of English
• Strong interest in startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem as well as in science, technology, and innovation
• Prior experience in event organization and/or project management in a similar field preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office as well as knowledge of international social media
• Fast-thinking, proactive, organized, and reliable problem-solver
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team

What we look for in a candidate
